Good morning,
Isn’t it strange how while you are in this world we live in, we become more attached to it? Not only do we become more attached but it almost seems like the world wants to keep you attached and keeps on filling your mind with ideas to become more attached. For example when I use my G-mail, I am given the option to attach something and if I type into G-mail “Please see attached” and if I forget to attach something G-mail even reminds me as I hit the send button “Did you want to attach a document?” Not only is this true with your e-mail but also with your the phone you buy. How many accessories or attachments do you have to buy to use your phone? It’s not really needed but we buy it anyway. Then how about the car you buy? It’s extremely difficult to buy a car as it is, without wanting some extra attachment to it.
Every move you make in this world you are being asked to make an attachment. This is especially true when it comes to human relationships. When you break the human body down, from body you have systems, systems to organs, from organs to cells, cells to organelles, organelles to molecules and then finally molecules to atoms. We are really all atoms interacting with other atoms. I’m telling you this because number 1, I want you to know that you are a microcosmic expression of the macrocosm, and number 2, atoms behave rather similarly to humans! You see if you study chemistry you will come to learn 2 ways that atoms come to be together or join. The first is the covalent bond. This is the sharing of electrons between atoms. In this bond in humans all resources, ideas, love, values, etc. are shared in humans. There is mutual love and support.
Then we have the ionic bond, this is when one atom gives an electron or electons away to the other atom. In this bond in humans, one gives and the other receives. The giver never receives anything, except the feeling of just wanting to give without expectation. The feeling of just love.
No other bonds exist. So the questions I ask is, When did we stop being human? When did we drift away from the laws of the universe to create the mayhem in our lives? Human relationships are now more about pain and regret, revenge and misery.
I want to share with you something even more fascinating. The time and energy needed for atoms to bond is absolutely minute. Yet the time and energy needed to break the bond when formed is extremely large! Isn’t this true as well for humans? Easy to fall in love or become attached but extremely hard to let go. How much of time and energy do we take just to let go of one person? Yet it can easily be done, if we simply see the blessings in the letting go.
If you have ever bought a house, you enter into a bondage with the bank. That is why it is called a BOND. But notice the word bondAGE. The more attached you are the more you age. No one asked you are you home loan free. They ask, “have you freed up your bond?” Look at the word baggAGE. The more baggage you carry the more you age.
All world is continuously trying to keep you lost in it. We have to keep reminding ourselves that we are in the world, and not of the world. Out happiness is a direct proportion to the number of things we are attached too. No attachments, More happiness. More attachments, Less happiness. Make a list of all the things in your life, and find out how many things you own, and how many things own you.
You were born free, yet we have accepted a life of bondage and are too caught up in the world we live in. Isn’t it time we searched for our inner freedom?
Let Go, detach, Be free, Live simply.
Live without and Live within.
Do you get that? Live without the things that keep you away from peace, and Live within where you find peace.
Love,
H
