Good morning!
Some people I meet, think that was a question. Good morning? To which the reply is a long list of complains as to why the morning isn’t good. The first 5 minutes when you open your eyes in the morning determines the kind of day you will have. Those are crucial five minutes that sets the tone of your day. I have a ritual (rituals are behaviours we repeat; which are actually habits. Your mental and external habits determine your destiny)…so I have a 5 minute ritual to ensure my day will flow with the go and go with the flow.
Minute 1: I think of all the things I am grateful for. I even give thanks to the things I do not have, which I know are on their way to me. So as my eyes open, my heart whispers THANK YOU.
Minute 2: I become aware that I am alive. I say this out aloud, “Wow I am alive again today. God must want me to do something really special. I wonder what great things await me.”
Minute 3: I remind myself never to take things too personally. People will say things or do things today I may not like. Insults are nothing more than people’s projection of their own self hate.
Minute 4: Life is journey, best travel light. I ask myself who is in my life that no longer serve me that need to go; and what thoughts and beliefs that are closing my heart centre…that I need to let go of.
Minute 5: I pray that my family and friends find the answers they seek and wisdom they require and the healing they need.
Next steps:
Wake up.
Brush teeth.
Be awesome.
In 5 minutes you can turn it all around.
Have a fantastic, funtastic day!
Love,
H
